Jake Riccardi returns to the GIANTS line-up as the only change to the GIANTS’ side for the trip to Optus Stadium to take on the Fremantle Dockers.

Riccardi was dropped to the VFL last week where he had 12 touches and kicked a goal in the low-scoring win over Frankston.

He replaces Nick Haynes who hasn’t recovered in time from the ankle injury he suffered against the Suns in round three.

“Jake has had a really good summer,” coach Leon Cameron said.

"He was disappointed in his performance against Richmond but he wasn’t on his own there.

“He’s a good, young lad who is working through his craft as a key forward. We feel he’s got a lot to offer, especially in that forward role but equally up on the wing and as a chop-out in the ruck.

“He’s become a really flexible player for us and we look forward to seeing him in full action on Saturday.”

Cameron confirmed Haynes is expected to miss just the one week with his injury.

“We’re disappointed Haynesy hasn’t got up,” he said.

“We expect he’s going to put his name up for selection next week. He rolled his ankle and it just hasn’t come up in time.

“Clearly he’s got to go through a fitness test next week to see if he’s right but we’re pretty confident he's going to be ok for round five.”

Key forward Jesse Hogan will return to his home town of Perth to take on his old side for the first time on Saturday night.

“Jesse has had two games in a row now and the ultimate aim for him is to play as much footy as he possibly can,” Cameron said.

“There’ll be a few nerves because it’s the first time he gets to play against his old team but we feel as though he’s in good shape, he’s building on his game.

“We love what he did last week and we’re confident he always offers us a big target and the longer he can stay out there the better off we’re going to be.”

Cameron said he is looking forward to the effort and intensity the GIANTS brought against the Suns in round three as they notched their first win of the season.

"It doesn’t always guarantee you’re going to win but our consistency over three and half to four quarters last week was really good and pleasing,” Cameron said.

“We need to make sure Fremantle are not using the ball as well as they can because our defence is in good shape.

“They’re a very, very good team, they’re two and one and had a good win last week so they’re going to be hard to beat but our effort and our compliance to everything we try and do is the most important thing I’m looking at.”

The GIANTS take on the Fremantle Dockers at Optus Stadium on Saturday at 5:25pm WST/7:25pm EST with live coverage on 7mate in NSW and the ACT as well as Foxtel, Kayo and the GIANTS’ social channels.
