Matt Taberner has earned the maximum 10 votes while Andrew Brayshaw has risen to the top of the leaderboard after five rounds in the AFLCA Coaches' Votes.

Brayshaw was awarded eight votes to continue his steak as the only player to earn votes in every game this season.

Even with Easter Monday's Hawthorn v Geelong game to be played, Brayshaw can't be overtaken with 29 votes after five rounds, three ahead of Christian Petracca in second. Patrick Cripps is third on 25 votes with Bailey Smith fourth with 24 votes.

Taberner's 10 votes came off the back of his career-best seven straight goals against Essendon on Sunday.

The key forward deservedly pipped Brayshaw to the top votes, who had an outstanding 34 disposals, 14 contested possessions, 461 metres gained and five clearances.
