The shortlist for the AFL Players MVP Awards have been created.

Each team's nominees are votes on by the players from each individual club, and the final winners are determined by a vote from the whole competition. Players are not allowed to vote for their teammates in the second stage.

The best captain will also be awarded on the night, with all skippers automatically in contention.
