Fremantle has advised forward Mitch Crowden that he will not be offered a contract for season 2023.

Taken with pick no.59 at the 2017 NAB AFL National Draft, Crowden made his debut in round two of season 2018.

The 23-year-old, who was delisted at the end of the 2021 season and subsequently re-rookied, kicked 15 goals in his 42 games for Fremantle, including two in 2022.

“These are always difficult conversations to have,” Head of Player Personnel David Walls said.

“Mitch was disappointed but took the news in a manner reflective of his positive attitude during his time at Freo.

“We wish Mitch all the best in his future endeavours.

“We will do all we can to assist Mitch and his management in finding new opportunities for him.”
