Fremantle’s hard-working midfield boasts a work ethic that will do anything to achieve success, according to assistant midfield coach Joel Corey.
A three time premiership player with Geelong, Corey understands more than most what it takes to be the best in the AFL.
In an interview on SEN WA, Corey was asked to compare the Geelong team of his day to Fremantle’s midfield.
“If you’re talking about Geelong, we’ve got that whole body of work and these guys are just at the start of their journey,” Corey said.
“These guys work extremely hard. It will be really interesting and it’s going to be great for the Fremantle people to watch these guys coming through, not only the midfield but the rest of the lines as well.
“We’re growing some depth. We want a unit that actually challenges each other and we’ve got some young guys coming through, we’ve got some older guys and as a unit they’re all trying to get better."
