The Fremantle Football Club today confirmed the appointment of Lisa Webb as its new AFLW senior coach.

Webb will lead Fremantle for at least the next three years and become the second former AFLW player, after Port Adelaide's Lauren Arnell, to become a senior coach.

Selected by Fremantle with pick number two in the 2017 AFL Women’s rookie draft, Webb played six AFLW games for the Club in 2018, highlighted by her 17 disposals on debut in front of 41,975 fans at Optus Stadium in what was the first game of Australian Rules Football at the ground.

In 2019 Webb was appointed Freo’s opposition and strategy coach and she remained a valued assistant until June 2022.

She then relocated to Melbourne with young sons Ollie and Leo to join husband Marc at the Western Bulldogs, taking on the role as their AFLW midfield coach for Season 7.

Webb said she was honoured to become Fremantle’s third AFLW coach.
