Thirteen Fremantle-listed players were in action to help Peel Thunder overcome South Fremantle to record their eighth win of the season at Rushton Park in Mandurah on Saturday afternoon.

South Fremantle were in front at every change, but the Thunder rallied hard to kick three last quarter goals and kept the Bulldogs to just three behinds to run out 12 point winners with a final score of 10.14.74 to 9.8.62.

Karl Worner (29 disposals, seven marks) and Corey Wagner (24 disposals, seven marks) led the way for the Thunder while Will Brodie and Bailey Banfield heaped on the pressure with seven tackles each.

Travis Colyer booted two goals while also recording 15 disposals and six marks.

Peel currently sit third on the WAFL ladder, with an 8-3 record, with eight rounds remaining of the home and away season before WAFL finals.

The Thunder now turn their attention to the fourth-placed Subiaco at Leederville Oval on Saturday 8 July at 2.10pm.
