Fremantle return to Optus Stadium this Sunday 9 July to take on Carlton as we celebrate the Purple Hands Foundation Game.

Support a great cause and get down to Optus early, with all the action kicking off from 12.30pm and bouncedown for the clash at 2.40pm

THE PURPLE HANDS FOUNDATION
Fans are encouraged to make their mark and donate to Purple Hands to become an integral part in delivering essential programs that tackle key social issues impacting youth. Keep an eye out for our AFLW team who are fundraising around the ground or stop by the Southern Oval to purchase a giant foam hand to show your support of this great cause.

The Purple Hands Foundation Game is an extraordinary opportunity to raise funds for the charitable arm of the Club, dedicated to forging a brighter future for young people in the Western Australian community. The Purple Hands life-changing programs, including the renowned Kimberley Connected and Kimberley 9's Carnival, Goals aHead, Intercept, and more, helping focus on crucial areas such as increased school attendance, improved health and well-being, enhanced mental health awareness and fostering positive social behaviours and choices.

GETTING TO OPTUS STADIUM (INTERRUPTED SERVICE)
For those who travel via the Mandurah line, there is a scheduled closure on the Mandurah Line between Aubin Grove and Elizabeth Quay for this match. To get you to the game at Optus Stadium, catch a Rail Replacement bus from any station between Aubin Grove (excluding Canning Bridge) and Elizabeth Quay, then transfer to a Route 661 bus service.

Your footy ticket includes travel on all Transperth services for three hours either side of the match, so be prepared and ensure you plan your journey ahead with Transperth’s Journey Planner, please click here for further information. If asked, show your ticket to the driver or inspector. Keep in mind, you must have your football ticket or membership on you to travel for no extra cost. If you have a family or linked account, please pass this information on to all attending.

TICKETING INFORMATION
Members with reserved seats can access their tickets through the Fremantle Football Club app linked to their MyFreo account. Instructions are available for both Android and iPhone users.

There are lots of great activities at this weekend’s game, we would love to see you there but if you can’t join us make sure you return your seat! Reserved seat members who are unable to attend can return their seats by logging into their MyFreo account, instructions can be found here. If you seat sells you will receive a credit toward your 2024 membership.

Pass holders who have redeemed a ticket or upgraded can access their tickets through the Ticketmaster app. The Fremantle membership team will be at Gate B and E for assistance with entry and general enquiries from 12.30pm. Tickets are still available for the general public through Ticketmaster below. 

SENSORY ROOM
The Purple Hands Foundation and Fremantle Football Club in collaboration with The Autism Association of Western Australia are delivering a Sensory Room launching in 2023. The Sensory Room provides opportunities for individuals with a disability to access a quiet space during Fremantle home games at Optus Stadium. The room is for people with sensory needs, open to children and adults and individuals with a disability will be prioritised.

Crossing for Inclusion
Starting from the west end of the Matagarup Bridge, we will be part of a new all-inclusive initiative that involves the whole community on Sunday. People with disabilities will be crossing the bridge together from 12.30pm, hand in hand with Purple Hands Foundation and Fremantle Football Club, in collaboration with WA All Abilities, Starkick, the WAFC and the AFL.

Purple Playground
Located on the Southern Oval, outside gate D are the inflatable obstacle courses and inflatable super goals. As well as handball targets and a Freo Footprints activation for kids to test out their skills! Have a go at any of the activities to receive a 2023 Fremantle Dockers Men’s Team Poster!

Kids Go Free
In and around the stadium you will find an array of fun and games to keep the kids entertained! Ensure you arrive early to make the most of the fun and take a look at our Activation Map above to avoid missing anything!

Silent Disco
Located at the Amphitheatre near Gate D is a silent disco, where you can dance along to your favourite tunes with all your friends!

Glitter and Poster Making Station
Located on the Southern Oval we will have a glitter station where you can get covered in Freo-themed glitter, along with a poster making station to help you cheer on your team.

Giant Bubbles
Located near the bridge will be an opportunity for kids to participate in bubble fun, playing with bubble mixture and giant wands, as well as engaging in plenty of bubble activities.

Airbrush tattoo
Our airbrush tattoo station will be located near Lobby 101 and out at the Southern Oval, to cover our fans in their favourite Freo designs.

Purple Hands 360 Photobooth
Head to Lobby 132 to take our accessible 360 Photo Booth for a spin.

Purple Hands Foundation Donations
Come to the Southern Oval where we will have a marquee set up ready to take your donations towards the Purple Hands Foundation. Some of our AFLW players will be on hand around the precinct to collect donations and meet fans. 

Kimberley 9’s Warm-up Shirts
To celebrate NAIDOC week and the Purple Hands Foundation, players will wear their Purple Hands Foundation game warm-up shirts pre-game which were designed for the 2022 Kimberley 9s carnival.

Western Australian Police Force
WAPOL is bringing all the action outside gates A, B and D! There will be a TRG bearcat and Emergency Operations vehicles on display, along with the airwing and drones, and don’t miss out on the police dogs inside. Also, be sure to keep an eye out on the water for the Water Police Patrol Boat!

Best Seats in the House
At half-time, be in your seats and have your phone ready for your chance to win one of three double passes into Bankwest’s best seats in the house! Winners will receive:

Leave your cash at home
Optus Stadium is currently a cashless venue meaning you will need to pay using EFTPOS at all food and beverage outlets.

Optus Stadium Restaurants and Catering
The City View Cafe will be OPEN. However, the Goodwood restaurant will be CLOSED.

The Freo Clubhouse
The Freo Clubhouse in River View Rooms and Sky View Lounge will be open for this round, however you will need to show your ticket stating room access to receive entry.

  • No cloaking facilities available. Don't bring bulky items.
  • Practice good hand hygiene.
  • If you feel unwell or have experienced any COVID-19 symptoms during the two weeks prior to this weekend’s game, please DO NOT attend.
