Fremantle will head to Alberton Oval for the first time in their history to square off against Port Adelaide in a 2024 AFL Community Series clash early next year.

The pre-season fixture will take place at Port Adelaide’s training facility on Friday 1 March, with a bouncedown of 7.30pm ACDT.

Fremantle will commence the 2024 home and away season just two weekends later against Brisbane at Optus Stadium.

Prior to the AFL Community Series clash, Fremantle will also take on West Coast in an AFL Match Simulation Training Session on Saturday 24 February at Mineral Resources Park.

All 18 clubs will participate in an AFL Community Series Match to be played between 27 February and 3 March at venues across the country and all members and kids will be able to attend the matches for free.

AFL Community Series Matches will take on the following format:

  • Four quarters of 20 mins plus time on (as per AFL Premiership Season)
  • Squad of 30 players, eight interchange and four Emergencies.
  • Minimum of four players on the Interchange Bench during the match at any time.
  • No interchange cap.
  • Full panel of umpires appointed by the AFL.

All matches will be broadcast live on Fox Footy and KAYO and fully ticketed for fans to attend.

Tickets for the AFL Community Series will go on sale in February with further information to be communicated in late January.
