Fremantle’s marquee fixtures have been confirmed, with the Club’s Starlight Purple Haze Game, Retro Round and home RAC Derby all locked in as the AFL confirms the fixtures for the back half of the 2024 Toyota AFL Premiership season.

In a massive fortnight, the Club will celebrate their 22nd Purple Haze Game against Melbourne to once again raise funds for the Starlight Children’s Foundation in round 19, before meeting cross-town rivals West Coast in a Saturday night primetime clash in front of a home Fremantle crowd in round 20.

The ever-popular nostalgia of Fremantle’s Retro Round will be in the spotlight in round 22 with an afternoon slot booked against Geelong on Saturday 10 August.

Fremantle’s primetime fixture against Richmond in round 17 will also mark the AFL's ‘Kids Go Free’ round – with a 6.10pm bouncedown under lights.

The confirmation of rounds 16 to 23 means six Saturdays and two Sunday clashes locked in for the back half of the season, with Fremantle’s games against Melbourne (round 19) and Essendon (round 21) to also be broadcast live nationally on the Seven network.

The scheduling also favours the demands of a travelling WA-based team with three six-day breaks and five seven-plus breaks, including a 22-consecutive-day stay in Perth across rounds 19-21.

The Club will visit New South Wales twice, against Sydney at the SCG in round 16 and GWS at ENGIE Stadium in round 23.

Fremantle will also travel to Tasmania to take on Hawthorn in round 18, before another opportunity to play at the MCG in round 21 against Essendon.

All games for round 24 remain as a floating fixture, with the date and time for Fremantle’s home game against Port Adelaide still to be confirmed.

Tickets for rounds 16 to 23 will be on sale next week, which will be communicated to all Fremantle members and supporters via email and our channels.

Chief Executive Officer Simon Garlick welcomed the opportunity to host multiple Saturday night fixtures at home.

"There's nothing quite like the energy of a Saturday night fixture, and with matches against Richmond (round 17) and West Coast (round 20) for the home RAC Derby, we're gearing up for some of the most exciting football of the season," Garlick said.

"We are pleased to continue our tradition of the Starlight Purple Haze Game in round 19, an important date in the calendar for the Freo fans.

"Our commitment is to make every game day an extraordinary experience for our Freo family and these fixtures allow us to do that."
