ELEVEN Fremantle-listed players were in action for the Thunder over the weekend as East Perth exacted some revenge with a 38-point win over Peel in a grand final rematch.
The two sides were evenly matched early, going head-to-head in disposals and inside 50s at the first break. However, Peel struggled to score throughout the game, and the Royals pulled away late, kicking five goals to two in the final term.
Liam Reidy: Was strong in the ruck, breaking even with East Perth’s Scott Jones with 30 hitouts each. Reidy also collected 12 disposals and three inside 50s.
James Aish: Provided solid leadership for Peel with his experience in a young side. Aish brought a calm presence, finishing with 16 disposals and three inside 50s.
Ollie Murphy: Had a career-high 18 disposals and showed composure under pressure, with the Royals enjoying a +15 inside 50 advantage. He also tallied six marks and two tackles.
Will Brodie: Had an equal team-high 20 disposals and five tackles, but like the entire midfield group, was outmatched by the Royals on the day.
Charlie Nicholls: Had his moments, kicking his first two goals in Thunder colours and putting Peel ahead in the second quarter when the game was in the balance. The 18-year-old finished with five disposals, three marks, and two goals.
Neil Erasmus: Recorded his lowest disposal count for the season (16 disposals, four inside 50s) after a strong start to the game, but struggled to gain ascendency after coping attention throughout the day.
Aiden Riddle: Had a quieter day due to limited supply but supported Reidy in the ruck with 14 hitouts and five disposals. He also hit the scoreboard for the third consecutive week with a goal.
Jaren Carr: Continued to develop, working hard up and down the ground for his nine disposals and two marks.
Jack Delean: Also had a quieter game with nine disposals and two marks. He had a chance to score but managed only a behind.
Hugh Davies: Was busy in defence, with the Royals dominating inside 50s. He again showed positive signs of development, finishing the day with 14 disposals and six marks.
Cooper Simpson: Continues to grow this season, finishing with 18 disposals and three marks. Simpson has now recorded 18 or more disposals in four of five games in 2025.
