Walyalup Senior Coach Justin Longmuir has declared that ruckman Sean Darcy won’t feature in any level of football this weekend, with the Club electing to take a conservative approach with his return.
Speaking on SEN WA with Tim Gossage and Scott Cummings on Thursday morning, Longmuir confirmed Darcy had pulled up sore from main training on Wednesday.
“Firstly, we’ve got to get him back to full fitness and that’s not going to happen this week,” Longmuir said.
“He didn’t pull up great after the session yesterday, not bad but not quite 100 per cent.
“So, he won’t be available for selection this week.
It means Darcy will miss the Club’s Sir Doug Nicholls Round clash with Yartapuulti (Port Adelaide) on Saturday night at Optus Stadium.
Walyalup has one game after Saturday’s home clash - a road trip to the Gold Coast to take on the Suns - before their mid-season bye in Round 13.
