Fremantle High Performance Manager Phil Merriman says ruckman Sean Darcy and midfielder Nat Fyfe could both return to football this weekend.
Darcy has missed two AFL matches with knee soreness, while Fyfe injured his hamstring while playing with Peel Thunder in the WAFL six weeks ago.
“They (Darcy and Fyfe) completed training today, which is what we asked of them,” Merriman said.
“The next step is just to make sure they pull up well tomorrow and then they will be available for selection.”
As reported by the Club on Monday, young defender Cooper Simpson will spend up to 10 weeks on the sidelines after undergoing surgery on an AC joint injury.
“It was a pretty nasty hit, that one,” Merriman said.
“Thankfully, we’ve got some great surgeons – Pete D’Alessandro and Brendan Ricciardo – who were able to get Coop in straight away on Monday, which is a great result.
“That will keep him out for around the two-month mark.”

Unfortunately, forward Sam Sturt suffered a setback with his knee injury at training on Saturday, with the Club to confirm a timeline for the 25-year-old in the coming week.
“Sturty had a little training incident on the weekend,” Merriman said.
“We’ll know more in the coming days, but we will offload him for the next week and hopefully get him back running soon.”
In positive news, midfielder Hayden Young hit a milestone in his rehabilitation from hamstring surgery today, commencing on-field running.
“He had a little shuffle today, getting to 35 percent running speed, which he was pretty happy about.
“We’ll obviously keep building his intensities and volumes over the next month.”
