Defender Jess Low will be a test for Fremantle’s clash with Essendon this Saturday at Fremantle Oval, as she progresses through concussion protocols.
AFLW High Performance Manager Tom Sutherland provided an update on Low, who experienced delayed concussion symptoms following Fremantle’s Round 4 match against Sydney.
“(Jess) is progressing well through her concussion protocols, so she’s going to be a test for this weekend,” Sutherland said.
Defender Madi Scanlon will continue to inch closer to her return date, as she progresses through her quad injury.
“Madi’s a week closer,” Sutherland said.
“She’s getting some good speed and we’re hoping to get her into some football at the end of this week.”
Key forward Áine Tighe is taking steps forward with her knee rehab and is tracking as planned for her return to play.
“Áine's tracking well,” Sutherland said.
“She’s ticking all the boxes and is still on track for a return later in the season.”
