Fremantle will enter the Round 5 Gather Round clash with Collingwood at Adelaide Oval with an unchanged team for the second consecutive week.

Senior coach Justin Longmuir and his match committee have backed in the same side that won a two-point thriller over the Crows in hostile territory last Friday night.

Captain Alex Pearce, who produced a game-saving smother against Adelaide, again anchors Fremantle’s stable back six featuring Brennan Cox, Heath Chapman, Jordan Clark, Luke Ryan and Karl Worner.

At the other end of the field, Josh Treacy (12 season goals), Jye Amiss and Pat Voss provide tall targets in attack. Amiss last week kicked a career-high four goals against the Crows.

South Australian small forward Isaiah Dudley and key defender Brennan Cox are particularly enjoying back-to-back games in their home state, but Dudley says they’re wary of the black and whites who are coming off a loss to Brisbane.

“Collingwood are a very good team,” said Dudley.

“We know they’ll want to bounce back from their loss last week so they’re going to bring the heat and their A-game. We expect that and it’ll be a cracking game.”

Bailey Banfield, Nathan O’Driscoll and Mason Cox have been named as emergencies.

Last season’s clashes between Fremantle and Collingwood were split at one each, with the Magpies winning in Perth in Round 9, while Freo claimed a Round 19 one-point thriller at the MCG.

The match will commence at 5.40pm WST and will be broadcast live on 7mate and Fox Footy, as well as streamed on Kayo and 7plus from 5pm WST.

Following the Gather Round clash, Fremantle return home for consecutive Optus Stadium matches featuring a Round 6 Western Derby and Round 7 Len Hall Game underlights on ANZAC Day.
