Scans have confirmed Fremantle captain Alex Pearce suffered a low-grade MCL injury to his left knee in last night’s win over Hawthorn.

The injury occurred in a contest in the last minute of the match.

Pearce will miss Fremantle’s Round 10 clash with Essendon at the MCG.

“Pleasingly scans have shown it’s not a significant injury,” said Executive General Manager of Football Joe Brierty.

“Early signs are positive and we will continue to reassess Alex’s functionality and provide further updates as they come to hand.”
