Matera snaps a ripper Brandon Matera kicks a brilliant goal from the boundary.

Brandon Matera has earned a Coates Hire Goal of the Year nomination for his skillful snap during the first quarter of Fremantle's 21-point win against Port Adelaide at Optus Stadium on Saturday.

Matera ran onto a bouncing ball along the boundary line deep in Fremantle's forward pocket, before juggling the ball to himself and snapping it onto his left boot to kick Fremantle's second goal of the day.

Eddie Betts (Adelaide) and Adam Saad (Essendon) are the round's other nominees.
