Fremantle forward Isaiah Dudley, defender Oscar McDonald and rookie midfielder Toby Whan have signed contract extensions with the Club.

Dudley, who has enjoyed a breakout season with Fremantle, booting 28 goals so far in 23 games, has triggered a one-year contract extension and put pen to paper on an additional two year contract to keep him at the Club until at least 2029.

Fremantle Head of Player Personnel David Walls said having the dangerous small forward on board was a great outcome.

“Duds has had an outstanding season and hit the trigger for another season, but for him to then pencil in two additional years, shows his commitment to the Club,” Walls said.

“This is the first year where he’s had a full pre-season after being picked up by the Club as an SSP pick in February 2025, and we’ve seen what that work on and off the track can do for him.

“He has great relationships with Shai Bolton, Michael Frederick and, more broadly, the entire squad, and he’s certainly a fan favourite.

“We can’t wait to see what the future with Duds holds for Freo.”

A month on from his 100-game milestone, McDonald has signed a one-year contract extension to remain in purple until at least the end of 2027.

The 30-year-old has notched 10 games this season so far, the most he has played in a calendar season since 2019, with his ability to play as a key position player forward or back on display.

Walls said McDonald’s experience and professionalism have been invaluable to the squad.

“Oscar has been really important for us this year. Early on he was filling roles, but the back end of the season saw him gather some really strong form and hold down his spot,” Walls said.

“He’s got great experience, can go forward or behind the ball, so his versatility as a tall target is a great asset for our team.

“When he’s been at WAFL level he’s been a great leader for our key stocks down there and just plays his role week in, week out, which we really value.”

Finally, wingman Whan has signed a two-year contract extension on Fremantle’s Category B rookie list.

Developed through Fremantle’s Next Generation Academy, Whan joined the Club in the 2025 draft and seamlessly fitted into senior football for Peel Thunder in 2026, putting his silky left-foot skills on display.

More recently, he has been developing his craft in new roles, featuring as an inside midfielder at times and showcasing some of his best footy to date.

Walls said Whan’s development in the WAFL has shown great upside to the youngster’s potential.

“Toby has really blended into our system and has jumped at the opportunity to play senior footy and really hone in and learn from some of our more experienced guys at Peel,” Walls said.

“He always had a booming left boot and was a great user of the ball as an outside player, but we experimented with him at times as more of an inside player, which he really excelled at.

“He can hit the scoreboard, and we’ve seen him work closely with guys like Jaeger O’Meara and Corey Wagner when in the WAFL to better himself.”
