Stephen Hill remains a chance to play in Fremantle’s first AFL game at Optus Stadium against Essendon.

The midfielder was hampered by a calf injury during the pre-season and is quickly approaching his return, listed as a test ahead of Saturday night’s game.

Hill is likely to be Fremantle’s only potential inclusion coming off an injury, with defender Lee Spurr (knee) and rookie Stefan Giro (knee) listed as returns within 3-5 weeks.

Griffin Logue (foot) and Harley Bennell (calf) are listed as TBA.
