More and more Fremantle fans are locking in their reserved seats at Perth Stadium, with Freo’s Harbour Master members commencing their priority period to switch and secure their seats on Tuesday.

It's fitting that as members from day one, David and Carole Kennedy, of Mandurah, were the first to change their seat allocations and lock them in with a $10 deposit.

“I’ve been a fan since the beginning and a Harbour Master since inception,” David said.

“Since I’ve been in Australia, I’ve always been a South Fremantle supporter, so it was a natural progression from there to go for Fremantle.”

Originally seated in blocks 323 at Domain Stadium, David was able to change his allocation and secure seats in section 544 at Perth Stadium – right on the wing in the third tier.

“We’ve managed to secure two beautiful seats that we’re rapt with,” David said.

“It was fantastic. Andy helped us out on the phone and today Cale locked us in with the seats we’re in now. They were great, everyone was fantastic to deal with.”

Even with Fremantle scheduled to play 13 games at Perth Stadium in 2018 - including two “away” games to Gold Coast and West Coast – David hopes to see even more Freo games interstate.

“I can’t wait to see them all, I’ll be going to all the home games,” David said.

“If we’re lucky we’ll get over to Melbourne and see some of the away games as well. We’re both retired now so we can choose where we want to go.”

An active NAB AFL Trade Period has David optimistic for Freo’s chances in 2018.

“Hopefully, after the Trade Period and draft and with some great players coming in, we can play a lot better this season,” David said.

“We have some great players. My number one favourite has to be Nat Fyfe but I also like the Hill brothers and you can’t go past Son Son (Michael Walters) as well.”
