The Fremantle Dockers have opened nominations for members to participate in a new Member Advisory Forum, established in keeping with the club’s intention to broaden member input and involvement with its operations.

Fremantle president Dale Alcock said the Member Advisory Forum would operate in addition to key stakeholder and coterie groups the club currently engages with regularly.

“The board is determined to broaden member input and involvement with the club’s operations and we are looking to achieve that, in the first instance, with the introduction of a Member Advisory Forum,” Alcock said.

“The forum, which will be held twice a year and be facilitated by an external independent facilitator, will provide the club the ability to inform, consult, and receive member feedback on a vast number of club matters.

“This feedback and workshops are in addition to the various current platforms by which member feedback and research is undertaken.”

Members wishing to nominate are required to submit a brief cover letter and CV, as well as completing the club’s nomination form.

The nomination submitted will also be required to be seconded by two other club members.

In the first instance, 20 members will be selected to participate in the forum, which is scheduled for February and June each year. The club will also select five additional members from existing supporter and coterie groups to participate the forum.

Members will be selected from a cross section of the club’s membership base, with a mixture of membership categories, membership lengths, demographics and ages.
