Fremantle’s forward pressure goes a long way to helping its defenders, according to forward dynamo Hayden Ballantyne.
While Ballantyne will miss this Saturday's 20th annual Len Hall Tribute Game against Sydney, he told Channel 9 News on Tuesday it will require pressure across the ground to beat last year’s grand finalist.
“Buddy (Franklin) is a superstar but if there is a lot of pressure up the ground, through our midfields and forward, it will limit his supply,” he said.
“Luke (McPharlin) will do his best on him but we need to help him everyway we can.”

Ballantyne said the forwards focussed on pressure over anything else.
“Our pressure is our trademark,” he said.
“Our forward pressure, chasing, tackling, harassing and giving their defenders no space and opportunities.
“On the flip side, it can cause a turn over and we are first in line for a goal.”
Freo take on Sydney at Domain Stadium on Saturday 25 April.
