Rhys and Chris were both amongst the best players for East Fremantle and Perth respectively last weekend, while Garrick travelled with the side to Melbourne last week as an emergency.
Rhys picked up 21 possessions, three marks and four tackles across the midfield for the Sharks and will be aiming to replicate the effort against the Hawks after being named on a wing for the Starlight Purple Haze Game.
He was Fremantle’s first round selection (No. 7 overall) in the 2007 National Draft. A stand out at the 2007 NAB AFL Under 18 Carnival, Rhys averaged 32 possessions in WA's undefeated carnival line up. He was runner up in the Michael Larke Medal as the best player in Division One of the NAB AFL Under 18 Championships and earned selection in the NAB AFL All-Australian Under-18 Team.
A hard working, hard running ball winner, Rhys has also proved himself to be a handy contributor on the scoreboard and shapes as a real talent of the future for Fremantle.
Chris was drafted from Perth at selection 40 in the 2007 National Draft. He will start the match on the bench along side Ryan Crowley, Daniel Gilmore and Matthew Carr.
A strong leading forward who presents well, has good hands overhead and accuracy in front of goal, Chris also has the ability to move into the midfield or wing as he did through his progression from colts to senior level in 2007.
A pacy midfielder, Garrick took the next step in his career in 2007, making his AFL debut against Richmond in Round 11. He marked the occasion by kicking a goal to help Fremantle record a 21 point win. He has been named to start on a half forward flank.
Making way for the trio are injured pair Shaun McManus and Heath Black and Dean Solomon.
