Tendai Mzungu joined the boys on Wednesday for his first visit to PMH and said it was a rewarding afternoon.
“To spend an afternoon with such brave and positive kids was really fulfilling,” Mzungu said.
“Making them smile and taking them away from their obvious struggles for a few moments was priceless.”
Mzungu’s new role will see him make regular visits with Redkite to various Perth hospitals to spend time with children and young adults undergoing treatment for cancer.
The three Freo players were more than happy to take time out from preparing for this Saturday’s game against the Crows to say hello to the children on ward 3B at PMH.
