THERE should be some dramatic team shake-ups after a long time between rounds one and two of the 2020 Toyota AFL Premiership Season.

While many clubs will regain stars returning from injury, there's also a few players who are under new clouds as teams have returned to training.

Some clubs like the Western Bulldogs and Gold Coast may roll the dice on different structures after heavy defeats in the first game of the season.

The AFL.com.au team has put together the 22 players they think will line up for each club in round two.

Fremantle

In: David Mundy, Nathan Wilson, Blake Acres
Out: Cam McCarthy (TBC), Mitchell Crowden (omitted), Bailey Banfield (omitted)

B: Luke Ryan, Griffin Logue, Ethan Hughes
HB: Reece Conca, Brennan Cox, Nathan Wilson
C: Brett Bewley, Nat Fyfe, James Aish
HF: Sam Sturt, Matt Taberner, David Mundy
F: Lachie Schultz, Rory Lobb, Michael Walters
Foll: Sean Darcy, Adam Cerra, Darcy Tucker
I/C: Andrew Brayshaw, Taylin Duman, Travis Colyer, Blake Acres

Emerg: Bailey Banfield, Mitchell Crowden, Brandon Matera, Caleb Serong
Unavailable: Alex Pearce (ankle), Joel Hamling (ankle)

The young Dockers missed a bit of experience in crucial moments during round one, but Mundy, Wilson and recruit Acres will give them plenty of that. McCarthy was hospitalised after he collapsed at training on Wednesday and returned to run laps on Friday, but expect a no-risk approach. Also expect Jesse Hogan and Stephen Hill to miss out due to a lack of match fitness. - Chris Correia

Adelaide Crows

In: Tom Doedee, Ned McHenry
Out: Ben Davis, Tyson Stengle (suspension)

B: Luke Brown, Daniel Talia, Rory Laird
HB: Wayne Milera, Tom Doedee, Brodie Smith
C: Paul Seedsman, Matt Crouch, Chayce Jones
HF: Billy Frampton, Taylor Walker, Tom Lynch
F: Lachie Murphy, Darcy Fogarty, Bryce Gibbs
FOLL: Reilly O'Brien, Brad Crouch, Rory Sloane
I/C: Ned McHenry, Jake Kelly, Rory Atkins, Fischer McAsey

Emerg: Myles Poholke, David Mackay, Kyle Hartigan, Elliott Himmelberg
Unavailable: Riley Knight (heel), Tyson Stengle (suspension)

Adelaide will welcome back Doedee for the first time since round one, 2019, when he suffered a season-ending knee injury. The key back will be an important addition, particularly after first-gamer McAsey had to hold down a key post in round one against the Swans. Stengle will be unavailable after his club-imposed suspension for his drink driving incident, and the Crows should blood youngster McHenry as his replacement. A first-round pick in 2018, McHenry is a lively, hard-working midfield/small forward option. - Callum Twomey

Brisbane Lions

In: Callum Ah Chee, Grant Birchall
Out: Marcus Adams (foot), Deven Robertson (omitted)

B: Callum Ah Chee, Darcy Gardiner, Grant Birchall
HB: Daniel Rich, Harris Andrews, Alex Witherden
C: Hugh McCluggage, Jarryd Lyons, Mitch Robinson
HF: Dayne Zorko, Daniel McStay, Cam Rayner
F: Charlie Cameron, Eric Hipwood, Lincoln McCarthy
Foll: Stefan Martin, Jarrod Berry, Lachie Neale
I/C: Noah Answerth, Oscar McInerney, Brandon Starcevich, Zac Bailey

Emerg: Deven Robertson, Jack Payne, Mitch Hinge, Allen Christensen
Unavailable: Marcus Adams (foot)

Birchall (hamstring soreness) was a late out in round one for Robertson and his addition would help a backline missing Adams. Ah Chee was also ruled out late ahead of the season opener due to illness and will assist in the air. Payne and Matt Eagles would be in the frame if the Lions want to replace a tall with a tall, especially if Fremantle's Jesse Hogan is deemed fit. - Mitch Cleary

Carlton

In: Harry McKay, Eddie Betts, Marc Pittonet
Out: Matthew Kreuzer (foot), Zac Fisher (ankle), David Cuningham (omitted)

B: Sam Docherty, Jacob Weitering, Lachie Plowman
HB:
Sam Petrevski-Seton, Liam Jones, Kade Simpson
C:
Sam Walsh, Patrick Cripps, Jack Newnes
HF:
Jack Martin, Harry McKay, Michael Gibbons
F:
Eddie Betts, Levi Casboult, Mitch McGovern
Foll:
Marc Pittonet, Marc Murphy, Ed Curnow
I/C: Jack Silvagni, Paddy Dow, Nic Newman, Will Setterfield

Emerg: Lochie O'Brien, Matthew Kennedy, Tom Williamson, David Cuningham
Unavailable: Matthew Kreuzer (foot), Tom De Koning (ankle), Brodie Kemp (knee), Caleb Marchbank (knee), Zac Fisher (ankle), Charlie Curnow (knee)

The Blues will welcome back attacking duo McKay (groin) and Betts (calf) from injuries that kept them out of round one, but Marchbank (knee) and Curnow (knee) remain sidelined with long-term issues. Pittonet has impressed since joining from the Hawks and will replace Kreuzer (foot) in the ruck. Newman (elbow) has recovered from a round one injury, but Fisher (ankle) is a little bit behind in his return and remains doubtful. - Riley Beveridge

 Collingwood

In: Jaidyn Stephenson, Travis Varcoe, Darcy Cameron
Out: Mason Cox (knee), Jack Madgen (omitted), Josh Thomas (omitted)

B: Jack Crisp, Jordan Roughead, Brayden Maynard
HB:
John Noble, Darcy Moore, Jeremy Howe
C:
Chris Mayne, Scott Pendlebury, Will Hoskin-Elliott
HF:
Jaidyn Stephenson, Brody Mihocek, Callum Brown
F:
Jordan De Goey, Darcy Cameron, Jamie Elliott
FOLL:
Brodie Grundy, Taylor Adams, Steele Sidebottom
I/C:
Travis Varcoe, Tom Phillips, Josh Daicos, Tyler Brown

Emerg: Josh Thomas, Isaac Quaynor, Brayden Sier, Jack Madgen
Unavailable: Adam Treloar (calf), Tom Langdon (knee), Dayne Beams (mental health), Levi Greenwood (knee), Ben Reid (hamstring), Mason Cox (knee)

The Pies will still be without Treloar (calf), who has suffered a number of soft tissue injuries since the turn of the year. However, Stephenson should return to the side having missed round one due to a stunted pre-season that was plagued by glandular fever. Cameron will make his club debut for Cox (knee), who still hasn't returned to full training. Varcoe (shoulder) should also be fit, having missed round one, but fellow veteran Reid (hamstring) is unlikely to recover in time. - Riley Beveridge

Essendon

In: Dyson Heppell, Cale Hooker, Conor McKenna, Shaun McKernan
Out: Orazio Fantasia (quad), Jayden Laverde, Will Snelling, Brandon Zerk-Thatcher

B: Aaron Francis, Michael Hurley, Jordan Ridley
HB: Adam Saad, Cale Hooker, Mason Redman
C: Andrew McGrath, Dyson Heppell, Darcy Parish
HF: David Zaharakis, Shaun McKernan, Devon Smith
F: Jacob Townsend, Jake Stringer, Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti
Foll: Tom Bellchambers, Zach Merrett, Dylan Shiel
I/C: Conor McKenna, Kyle Langford, Matt Guelfi, Tom Cutler

Emerg: Patrick Ambrose, Martin Gleeson, Brandon Zerk-Thatcher, Andrew Phillips
Unavailable: Joe Daniher (groin), Orazio Fantasia (quad)

The Bombers will likely have a few changes from the round one side that beat Fremantle. Fantasiawill miss after last weekend's quad strain. But Hooker (hip) and McKernan (illness) will both be available to play the Swans, while McKenna will also be available for selection. The Bombers are hopeful Heppell will get up for the clash after making a slow recovery from his foot issues, while Ambrose could also be picked after a knee injury ruled him out in round one. - Callum Twomey

Geelong Cats

In: Jake Kolodjashnij, Brandan Parfitt
Out: Zach Guthrie (omitted), Sam Menegola (omitted)

B: Jake Kolodjashnij, Mark Blicavs, Tom Stewart
HB: Mark O'Connor, Harry Taylor, Zach Tuohy
C: Mitch Duncan, Cameron Guthrie, Jordan Clark
HF: Tom Atkins, Esava Ratugolea, Gary Rohan
F: Gary Ablett, Tom Hawkins, Luke Dahlhaus
Foll: Darcy Fort, Patrick Dangerfield, Joel Selwood
I/C: Gryan Miers, Quinton Narkle, Jack Henry, Brandan Parfitt

Emerg: Rhys Stanley, Charlie Constable, Sam Menegola, Zach Guthrie
Unavailable: Nakia Cockatoo (hamstring), Lachie Fogarty (knee), Jack Steven (stab wound)

Provided Kolodjashnij gets through training next week after a hip injury, he is a lock in the Cats' best defensive seven (with one on the bench). Clark, who played back in round one, should move to a wing and replace Zach Guthrie. Parfitt missed after a limited preparation due to a back injury and should come in. Fort deserves a second chance after his round one nod. - Mitch Cleary

Gold Coast Suns

In: Jarrod Harbrow, Rory Thompson, Pearce Hanley, Alex Sexton, Izak Rankine
Out: Connor Budarick, Caleb Graham, Jesse Joyce, Nick Holman, Sean Lemmens

B: Jarrod Harbrow, Rory Thompson, Jack Lukosius
HB: Jack Bowes, Sam Collins, Brayden Fiorini
C: Brandon Ellis, Hugh Greenwood, Noah Anderson
HF: Darcy MacPherson, Sam Day, Ben Ainsworth
F: David Swallow, Ben King, Alex Sexton
FOLL: Jarrod Witts, Touk Miller, Lachie Weller
I/C: Will Brodie, Pearce Hanley, Izak Rankine, Matt Rowell
Emerg: Connor Budarick, Sam Flanders, Nick Holman, Sean Lemmens
Unavailable: Charlie Ballard (shoulder)

Expect a handful of important additions to the Suns' line-up from its round one performance, which saw them put in a disappointing loss to Port Adelaide. Harbrow, Thompson and Hanley should come in to settle down an inexperienced back half, while leading goalkicker Sexton will also be back. It could be a call between potential debutants Rankine and Sam Flanders for that final spot. – Callum Twomeydribble goal with his first kick

GWS Giants

In: Callan Ward, Zac Williams
Out: Tom Green, Daniel Lloyd

B: Aidan Corr, Sam Taylor, Nick Haynes
HB: Harry Perryman, Phil Davis, Isaac Cumming
C: Zac Williams, Stephen Coniglio, Lachie Whitfield
HF: Toby Greene, Jeremy Cameron, Matt de Boer
F: Brent Daniels, Jeremy Finlayson, Harry Himmelberg
FOLL: Sam Jacobs, Josh Kelly, Jacob Hopper
I/C: Heath Shaw, Adam Kennedy, Zac Langdon, Callan Ward

Emerg: Jackson Hately, Tom Green, Shane Mumford, Daniel Lloyd
Unavailable: Tim Taranto (shoulder)

Ward will have to get through Saturday's intra-club hit-out but has ticked off every box since recovering from his knee reconstruction early last year so should be ready to face North Melbourne next week. The midfielder's likely inclusion will force a tough call for the Giants, with youngster Green a chance to make way. Williams was another walk-up start who missed round one with an Achilles injury but is ready to go. Lloyd or Cumming could make way. - Callum Twomey

Hawthorn

In: Blake Hardwick
Out: Paul Puopolo (omitted)

B: Ben Stratton, James Frawley, Sam Frost
HB: James Sicily, Ben McEvoy, Blake Hardwick
C: Isaac Smith, Tom Mitchell, Tom Scully
HF: Jack Gunston, Tim O'Brien, Chad Wingard
F: Luke Breust, Jon Patton, Shaun Burgoyne
Foll: Jon Ceglar, James Worpel, Jaeger O'Meara
I/C: Liam Shiels, Ricky Henderson, Harry Morrison, Ollie Hanrahan

Emerg: Paul Puopolo, Mitch Lewis, Jack Scrimshaw, James Cousins
Unavailable: Jarman Impey (knee), Dan Howe (foot)

There's a bit to play out here, given Hardwick and O'Meara will have to pass fitness tests to face Geelong on Friday night. Assuming they are both right to go, it likely means one of MorrisonPuopolo or Hanrahan misses out. It's a tough call whichever way. Lewis' placement in the 'B' team in Friday's match simulation also added some mystery to selection, given his strong finish to last season. – Marc McGowan

Melbourne

In: Nathan Jones, Christian Salem
Out: Toby Bedford, Charlie Spargo

B: Neville Jetta, Steven May, Jake Lever
HB: James Harmes, Oscar McDonald, Michael Hibberd
C: Ed Langdon, Clayton Oliver, Adam Tomlinson
HF: Alex Neal-Bullen, Tom McDonald, Jake Melksham
F: Kysaiah Pickett, Bayley Fritsch, Mitch Brown
Foll: Max Gawn, Jack Viney, Christian Petracca
I/C: Angus Brayshaw, Nathan Jones, Christian Salem, Jay Lockhart

Emerg: Luke Jackson, Sam Weideman, Tom Sparrow, Joel Smith
Unavailable: Aaron vandenBerg (foot)

The Demons loaded up on pressure forwards in their season opener, so it'll be interesting to see if ex-Bomber Brown is preferred over Bedford, Spargo or even bolter Harley Bennell. Brown also faces competition from taller teammates Jackson and Weideman. Lockhart could play in attack if required but that's unlikely, given his good form down back. - Marc McGowan

North Melbourne

No changes

B: Jamie Macmillan, Robbie Tarrant, Luke McDonald
HB: Jasper Pittard, Josh Walker, Shaun Atley
C: Trent Dumont, Ben Cunnington, Jared Polec
HF: Tarryn Thomas, Nick Larkey, Curtis Taylor
F: Jack Ziebell, Ben Brown, Cameron Zurhaar
Foll: Todd Goldstein, Shaun Higgins, Jy Simpkin
I/C: Aaron Hall, Jed Anderson, Paul Ahern, Tom Murphy

Emerg: Tristan Xerri, Aiden Bonar, Dom Tyson, Mason Wood
Unavailable: Luke Davies-Uniacke (groin), Majak Daw (chest), Taylor Garner (hamstring), Ben Jacobs (concussion), Kayne Turner (toe/foot), Ed Vickers-Willis (turf toe), Marley Williams (suspension)

Injuries have eaten into the Roos' depth, so Rhyce Shaw may have an unchanged line-up for round two. Larkey (foot) is under an injury cloud, and untried big man Xerri is the likely beneficiary if he isn't fit enough. Wood or Lachie Hosie are other options. Youngsters Bonar, Bailey Scott, Will Walker and Jack Mahony will hope to break in, too. - Marc McGowan

In: Ollie Wines, Riley Bonner, Charlie Dixon
Out: Trent McKenzie (omitted), Jarrod Lienert (omitted), Steve Motlop (omitted)

B: Ryan Burton, Tom Jonas, Riley Bonner
HB:
Hamish Hartlett, Tom Clurey, Darcy Byrne-Jones
C:
Connor Rozee, Travis Boak, Xavier Duursma
HF:
Sam Powell-Pepper, Charlie Dixon, Brad Ebert
F:
Mitch Georgiades, Todd Marshall, Robbie Gray
FOLL:
Scott Lycett, Tom Rockliff, Ollie Wines
I/C:
Karl Amon, Zak Butters, Justin Westhoff, Dan Houston

Emerg: Peter Ladhams, Steve Motlop, Trent McKenzie, Jack Watts
Unavailable:
Nil

The Power expect to have a fully fit squad to choose from ahead of round two. The main concerns are Dixon (adductor), Gray (toe) and Bonner (ankle), but all are so far on track to feature. Wines(shoulder), Hartlett (thigh) and Ebert (knee) have all had sufficient time to recover from injuries sustained earlier in the year. Motlop is the unlucky omission given the amount of quality inclusions, having played well in the side's round one win over the Suns. - Riley Beveridge

Richmond

No changes

B: Nathan Broad, Dylan Grimes, David Astbury
HB: Liam Baker, Nick Vlastuin, Jayden Short
C: Josh Caddy, Dion Prestia, Jack Graham
HF: Daniel Rioli, Shane Edwards, Jason Castagna
F: Tom Lynch, Dustin Martin, Jack Riewoldt
Foll: Ivan Soldo, Trent Cotchin, Kane Lambert
I/C: Marlion Pickett, Shai Bolton, Toby Nankervis, Sydney Stack

Emerg: Jack Higgins, Jack Ross, Kamdyn McIntosh, Noah Balta
Unavailable: Bachar Houli (calf)

One potential change could be dropping Nankervis and bringing in the versatile Balta or Mabior Chol to relieve Ivan Soldo in the ruck. Houli missed the Blues clash with a calf strain and looks unlikely to prove his fitness in time for Thursday's blockbuster against Collingwood. The Tigers still boast 20 of the 22 players that won last year's Grand Final with Brandon Ellis (now at Gold Coast) the only one missing besides Houli. Higgins will be close, while Ross and McIntosh are next up should the Tigers suffer any injuries. - Ben Sutton

St Kilda

In: Josh Battle
Out: Paddy Ryder (omitted)

B: Jarryn Geary, Dougal Howard, Callum Wilkie
HB: Hunter Clark, Dylan Roberton, Ben Long
C: Jack Billings, Jack Steele, Bradley Hill
HF: Jade Gresham, Tim Membrey, Dean Kent
F: Dan Butler, Max King, Jack Lonie
Foll: Rowan Marshall, Seb Ross, Dan Hannebery
I/C: Josh Battle, Luke Dunstan, Zak Jones, Ben Paton

Emerg: Jack Sinclair, Paddy Ryder, Jimmy Webster, Nick Coffield
Unavailable: Nil

Brett Ratten has hinted at going with one ruckman and the Saints could back Marshall to go head-to-head against Tim English and leave Ryder out, especially with Collingwood to come off a six-day break. Battle adds flexibility, while Paton and Wilkie did little wrong to be dislodged for Webster,Coffield or Jake Carlisle. - Mitch Cleary

Sydney Swans

In: George Hewett, Lewis Melican
Out: Ben Ronke (calf), Kaiden Brand (omitted)

B: Aliir Aliir, Dane Rampe, Lewis Melican
HB: Jake Lloyd, Tom McCartin, Callum Mills
C: Harry Cunningham, Luke Parker, Oliver Florent
HF: Tom Papley, Nick Blakey, Jordan Dawson
F: Lewis Taylor, Isaac Heeney, Will Hayward
Foll: Sam Naismith, Josh Kennedy, George Hewett
I/C: James Rowbottom, Sam Gray, Colin O'Riordan, Justin McInerney

Emerg: Kaiden Brand, Callum Sinclair, Ryan Clarke, Dylan Stephens
Unavailable: Lance Franklin (hamstring), Sam Reid (calf), Ben Ronke (knee), Jackson Thurlow (calf).

Hewett is a certain inclusion, while the Swans have effectively ruled out Ronke (knee). It gets murky after that, depending on how tall the Swans want to play. Does Melican come in after injury and, if so, is it at ex-Hawk Brand's expense or one of the smaller crew? Possibly neither plays, given the Bombers' small attack. Whether McCartin goes forward will have a say in this, too. Could draftees Stephens and Will Gould force their way in? – Marc McGowan

West Coast Eagles

In: Oscar Allen
Out: Tom Hickey (omitted)

B: Liam Duggan, Tom Barrass, Brad Sheppard
HB: Shannon Hurn, Jeremy McGovern, Lewis Jetta
C: Jarrod Brander, Dom Sheed, Andrew Gaff
HF: Tim Kelly, Jack Darling, Jack Petruccelle
F: Jamie Cripps, Josh Kennedy, Liam Ryan
Foll: Nic Naitanui, Elliot Yeo, Luke Shuey
I/C: Oscar Allen, Brendon Ah Chee, Jackson Nelson, Jack Redden

Emerg: Tom Hickey, Tom Cole, Jake Waterman, Will Schofield
Unavailable: Jarrod Cameron (pubic bone), Mark Hutchings (knee)

As Adam Simpson noted last week, there hasn't been a chance for players to play themselves out of the best line-up in the past 10 weeks. Allen replaces Hickey as the only forced change given the reliance behind Naitanui will reduce in shortened quarters and he can also provide more in attack. - Mitch Cleary

Western Bulldogs

In: Patrick Lipinski, Tom Liberatore, Toby McLean, Josh Schache
Out: Lachie Hunter (suspended), Ryan Gardner (omitted), Lewis Young (omitted), Ben Cavarra (omitted)

B: Easton Wood, Zaine Cordy, Jason Johannisen
HB: Hayden Crozier, Alex Keath, Bailey Williams
C: Bailey Smith, Marcus Bontempelli, Matthew Suckling
HF: Bailey Dale, Josh Bruce, Patrick Lipinski
F: Mitch Wallis, Aaron Naughton, Sam Lloyd
Foll: Tim English, Josh Dunkley, Jackson Macrae
I/C: Caleb Daniel, Toby McLean, Tom Liberatore, Josh Schache

Emerg: Ed Richards, Ryan Gardner, Tory Dickson, Lewis Young
Unavailable: Lachie Hunter (suspended), Rhylee West (knee)

The Bulldogs got smashed in just about every area in round one, so there's no band-aid fix. Lipinski is a no-brainer inclusion and Liberatore looks right to go. McLean might provide more than Cavarraas a pressure forward, while Schache averages two goals per game across his three matches against St Kilda. - Jourdan Canil
