Amcom Telecommunications, a WA based IT and telecommunications company, has signed as the official shorts sponsor of the Fremantle Dockers for the 2014 and 2015 Toyota AFL Seasons.

The ASX listed company, who have been a corporate partner of the Fremantle Dockers since 2005, is the provider of choice for the converging information, communication and technology (ICT) needs of business and government across Australia.

Amcom chief operating officer Mike Knee said the partnership was a great fit for the award-winning company.

"As a core part of the Australian culture, we're proud to get behind the AFL and the Fremantle Dockers,” Knee said.

“Amcom have been long-time supporters of the Fremantle Dockers, coming on as a corporate partner in 2005 and the move to diamond-level sponsor is a natural progression.

"We'll look forward to seeing our logo on the Freo shorts as they strive to take it up the AFL competition again in 2014.”

Fremantle chief executive officer Steve Rosich welcomed the new partnership.

“We are delighted to have Amcom Telecommunications as our official shorts sponsor for the 2014 and 2015 Toyota AFL Seasons,” Rosich said.

“They have enjoyed continued growth and expansion over a 15 year history and are rightly recognised as a leading WA company.

“Amcom’s success is built on the strength and experience of their people and we see this as a great fit with our club.

“We thank Clive Stein, Mike Knee and their executive team for their continued support of the club and we look forward to a long and mutually rewarding partnership.”

Amcom, whose story started in Western Australia, has grown to become one of Australia’s leading national service providers in the telco and IT sectors and an Australian top 100 ranked brand.

With over 370 employees Australia wide, the partnership with Fremantle will provide significant brand exposure for Amcom in line with their long-term growth strategy.
