Fremantle have named six players who are in line for inclusion for Sunday’s clash with Port Adelaide at Metricon Stadium.

Jesse Hogan, Stephen Hill, Nathan Wilson, Connor Blakely, Sam Sturt and Caleb Serong have all been brought into Freo’s extended squad.

Sean Darcy will miss the Port clash after sustaining a knee injury in Freo’s round two loss to Brisbane, while Taylin Duman is the only omission so far.

This Sunday will mark 365 days, a year exactly, since Hogan last played for Fremantle.

If selected, it will be Hogan’s first AFL game since sustaining a foot injury in round 14 last year, before taking an extended break away from football for mental health reasons.

Hill returns to the squad for the first time since sustaining a quad injury in Freo’s one-point Marsh Series win over West Coast earlier this year.

The 30-year-old impressed in last week’s reserves scratch match against Brisbane, displaying great composure with the ball and dynamic run off the half-back line.

Wilson was unlucky to miss last weekend’s Brisbane clash after being a late withdrawal due to a back complaint and, if selected, will play his first game for Freo since round 19 last year.

Blakely will attempt to cement his spot in Freo’s best 22 and was the only player who did not play football last weekend after being held over as an emergency for the Brisbane game.

Sturt will look to back up his three-goal performance on debut in the 2020 season opener, after missing round two with a minor back complaint.

Serong will hope to follow in the footsteps of his close friend and teammate Hayden Young last weekend, to become the second player to debut from the 2019 draft class.

The 19-year-old also impressed with his ball winning ability and contested work in last week’s reserves scratch match.

The Port clash will also mark Travis Colyer’s 100th AFL game milestone.

Fremantle will finalise their starting 22 on Friday, which will be announced on fremantlefc.com.au at 3pm.

Bouncedown for Sunday’s clash is at 4.10pm (WST), with the game broadcast live into Perth on Channel 7Mate and nationally on Foxtel. The match will also be streamed live via Kayo and AFL Live Pass.
