Adelaide midfielder Matt Crouch has been selected to face Fremantle on Sunday at Metricon Stadium.

Crouch was omitted from the Crows’ Round Four side, but has impressed coach Matthew Nicks over the past week.

“Matty has had a fantastic week after some good conversation about where we’re going as a Club,” Nicks said on Friday.

“He’s been up and about, we couldn’t have asked for a better attitude.”

Key defender Kyle Hartigan will play his first senior match of 2020, replacing young Crow Fischer McAsey.

“Harto has been outstanding at the lower levels,” Nicks said.

“Some of the stuff he’s done off-field, that no one sees… we couldn’t have asked for much more.”

Midfielders Rory Sloane and Chayce Jones have been named in the side, but still face fitness tests before Sunday.

“We have to be careful with Sloaney, he’d play with a broken leg if you’d let him,” Nicks said.

“We just need to make sure we’re doing the right thing by him.

“(And) Chayce being a younger guy, we’re mindful of that.

“There is no damage to the knee, but we just want to make sure he’s alright.”
