Fremantle will challenge David Mundy’s fine for misconduct in a tribunal hearing via written submission on Tuesday evening.

Mundy was charged with misconduct against Brad Crouch in Freo's clash with Adelaide at Metricon Stadium on Sunday.

The incident was classified as a $750 sanction, down to $500 for an early plea.

If unsuccessful, Mundy will be fined the full $750.

Tribunal proceedings have been simplified for challenges to financial sanctions, where at the election of the charged player a single legally trained jury member may decide the matter on the basis of written submissions only.

Mundy will not be required to attend a Tribunal hearing. The AFL will communicate the outcome on behalf of the Tribunal.
