Fremantle has traded Greg Broughton and pick 60 to Gold Coast in exchange for pick 37 (second round) in next month’s NAB AFL National Draft.

The 26-year-old, who has played 68 games for Freo since debuting in 2009, was taken with the 73rd pick in the 2009 Rookie Draft.

He played the first 15 games this year before he injured his right ring finger and required season-ending surgery.

“Greg has been a fine representative of the Fremantle Football Club,” general manager of player management Brad Lloyd said.

“We thank him for all his efforts at the club during his time here and wish him all the best for the future.”

Fremantle now enters the AFL National Draft on November 22 armed with a first round selection (No.17), and two second round picks (37 and 40).
