Fremantle has prevailed by nine points in a hard-fought NAB Challenge match against West Coast at Fremantle Oval today.

A good crowd of more than 6,500 saw the Freo Dockers win after trailing at half-time.

Michael Walters was impressive in kicking four goals, while Nick Suban sweeped up well across half-back and Aaron Sandilands dominated in the ruck.

Second-year player Nat Fyfe was also among Freo's best playing off a wing.

A sour note for Freo was a left knee injury to form pre-season player Tendai Mzungu in the first quarter. The mature-age recruit was sent for scans.

The second half  also saw the introduction of subs Stephen Hill and David Mundy for the first time this year in what was Freo's first win of the pre-season.
