Liam Henry celebrates his goal with Luke Valente during a scratch match against Gold Coast

Liam Henry may have the spark Freo’s forward line needs as they head into Sir Doug Nicholls Round against Sydney at Optus Stadium on Saturday night, according to senior coach Justin Longmuir.

Longmuir said the exciting forward talent was a chance to debut as he looks to get more output from Freo up front.

Fremantle had 42 inside 50s against Carlton for their score of just 5.6 (36) in a four-point loss in round 12.

“He’ll come into consideration,” Longmuir told Seven news.

“We’re tinkering with our forward line and we thought on the weekend we got enough supply going inside our forward line but we didn’t quite finish off that work in front of goal.

“Liam’s obviously going to add to us in the forward line with his skill and offensive threat. We’ll consider him strongly this week.”

“It’s two clubs in a similar position, playing a lot of younger players on their list,” Longmuir said.

“I think they’ve been pretty consistent all year with their effort and their output, so it’s going to be a good challenge for us.”
