Fremantle captain Matthew Pavlich has been fined $1500 for striking Gold Coast player Trent McKenzie in Saturday’s win.
The Match Review Panel (MRP) charged Pavlich over the third quarter incident at Metricon Stadium.
Based on video evidence and a medical report from Gold Coast, the MRP said classified the incident as intentional conduct with low impact to the body.
The penalty will be reduced to $1000 with an early guilty plea.
