Senior coaches Trent Cooper and Daniel Pratt gave Kiara Bowers a perfect 10 votes for her best on ground performance in Sunday's RAC Derby.

The star midfielder gave Fremantle the hard edge they needed in the wet, finishing with 22 possessions (17 contested), seven clearances and a goal, winning the RAC Derby Medal unanimously.

Hayley Miller was second best afield, according to the coaches, with six votes for her efforts in the midfield with 15 disposals and five tackles.

It was also an impressive performance for Stephanie Cain in just her second game back from a knee injury, earning four votes from the coaches. Cain led all players with four marks in the slippery conditions and also contributed six tackles and 11 kicks from her 12 disposals.

Gemma Houghton was the other Fremantle player in the votes, with her one vote coming from a performance highlighted by her spectacular snap goal around her body from the boundary.
