Jayden had a quiet day playing as a high forward with a small stint on the wing. He needs to focus on his bursts to break into space so he can be used on the open side. There were several passages where he needed to work harder to get front and square to the contest. His strengths are that he is a good runner, so it’s just making sure he runs to where he needs to.

Sam played inside-mid. The best feature of his game was his inside stoppage work after half-time. Overall, he had 10 clearances and seven first possessions. He worked hard to run back and help out in defence and also set up some good offensive run and carry rebound.

Jesse Crichton (PT) 24 disposals (8 kicks, 16 handballs) 5 marks

Jesse played as an inside-mid, starting with 10 possessions in the first quarter. He carried the ball with a lot of run and bounce and showed strong work ethic both defensively and offensively. He was very creative both by foot and by hand. The most positive thing from Jesse’s game was that he played with a lot of effort and displayed a very team orientated game.

Jay van Berlo (WP) 27 disposals (14 kicks, 13 handballs) 6 marks, 5 tackles

Jay had a very solid outing for West Perth. He played as an inside midfielder and worked hard all day. He repeatedly put his body on the line and attacked the contest. He ran well defensively, and the feature of his game over the last couple of weeks is that he has been spreading hard offensively to get used.

Nick Suban (C - Foxtel Cup) 16 disposals (13 kicks, 3 handballs), 5 marks 1 goal

Nick played through the wing and on the ball. He started the game well, looking to run hard back in defence to help out, and he joined in on the counter-attack. We were very happy with his use of the ball by foot and he laid several strong tackles. He pushed hard forward at one stage in the last quarter and scored a goal. Overall, he worked hard throughout the game and we were pleased with his performance.
