Fremantle’s AFL Women’s team will take on the Brisbane Lions this Saturday 27 February at Fremantle Oval for round five of the 2021 AFLW competition. Bounce down is 2.10pm WST.

This weekend is Indigenous Round, where the girls will be wearing an Indigenous jumper designed by midfielder Jasmin Stewart. This match day is proudly supported by the Club’s Indigenous Program Partner, and co-major partner, Woodside.

Indigenous Round
With thanks to Woodside and a handful of Fremantle’s past Indigenous players, you will find a delicious sausage sizzle by the main gates offering a traditional taste of the land. Head over and grab yourself an emu or kangaroo sausage sizzle for just a gold coin donation! We will also be celebrating Indigenous Round in our pre-match entertainment where a didgeridoo and Indigenous dance troupe will be performing. 

Indigenous Airbrush Stencil tattoo
To remain Covid safe while celebrating our Indigenous Round we have asked Tamara Hayden from Djikulu Dreaming, to design an airbrush stencil that allows us to share the artwork of the Aboriginal people in body-art form. Fans will be able to find this stand inside to the right of the main entry gates.

Our Fans and Community team will be at the entrance of the ground on Saturday, be sure to say hi and grab a poster!

Fremantle Dockers x Fair Game
Fremantle’s Fans and Community team are partnering with Fair Game sports to hold a football boots and used sports equipment drive at the game this Saturday.
Three blue coloured bins will be positioned at the main gates of Fremantle Oval from 12.30pm-2.20pm, where fans will be encouraged to donate their used or unwanted sporting gear such as football boots, footballs, soccer balls, tennis racquets etc. by placing them into the designated blue bins on arrival.

Victoria Pavilion access (AFLW members only)
Access to the Victoria Pavilion will be issued to Fremantle Dockers 2021 AFLW members on a match-by-match basis. AFLW members must redeem a General Admission ticket through Ticketmaster. AFLW members must visit membership staff at the marquee outside the ground (prior to entry) to be issued with an access wristband (first-in, first-served basis and are valid for one match only). Access wristbands will not be issued prior to game day and will be allocated subject to capacity. Should an AFLW member be attending the match with a non-AFLW member they must purchase a membership to receive entry. 

COVID PROTOCOLS
Please consider the following guidelines and information before attending the match.

There will be no sales at the game on Saturday. We recommend securing your tickets prior to game day to ensure you don’t miss out. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster

Please note there will be disruptions to those travelling to the game on the Fremantle train line. Please plan ahead and click here for more information.

MOBILE TICKETING
The easiest and safest way to access tickets to your events is via mobile ticketing. When you select mobile delivery at checkout, your mobile phone is your ticket and your ticket will not be available for print or be emailed to you. Please ensure your mobile phone is charged to allow your tickets to scan on arrival at the venue.

GATE AND VENUE ENTRY
You must enter and exit Fremantle Oval via gate one.

QR CODES
Please look out for the QR code posted in your ticketed area where you must check-in using the recommended SafeWA app. If you do not have the SafeWA app, there will be a register at the gate that you must sign to enter the venue. If you do not check in you will be refused entry. 

THINGS TO REMEMBER

  • Observe social distancing whenever possible. No person is to approach players or officials for autographs or photos.
  • Patrons are encouraged to wash hands and sanitise regularly.
  • Patrons are asked to cough or sneeze into a tissue or their elbow.
  • Food and beverage purchases will be sold by cashless payment methods only. When lining up to purchase items it is important to give people in front and behind you adequate space.
  • Important to note - Bags or other items larger than an A3 piece of paper may not be permitted.
  • No cloaking facilities are available.
  • No chairs/ seats are permitted to be brought into the venue.
  • Movement once in Fremantle Oval should be minimised.
  • No pass-outs are available.
  • There will be COVID Marshalls around the area making sure patrons are practicing social distancing. If you are with a group please be aware of your surroundings and keep 1.5m from other patrons.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Patrons are expected to stay home if feeling unwell and will be denied entry to the venue should they have or show symptoms that may place persons at risk or endanger or impact on public health.

We recommend all patrons download the Australian Government COVIDSafe app, and have it running on their phones with Bluetooth enabled.

How you can help

  • Plan to arrive early at games where possible, to avoid crowds at entry points close to match start times
  • Practise good hygiene and regularly and thoroughly wash your hands
  • Maintain physical distancing, keep at least 1.5 metres away from others
  • If you feel unwell do not attend AFLW games

You acknowledge, even with rigorous capacity and control measures in place at matches, there remains an unquantifiable risk of transmission of viral illness including COVID-19 at a match at this time and you have considered that risk and your own personal circumstances, including in circumstances where there is greater capacity density, and including any health condition or vulnerability that you may have or that of persons whom you will be in close contact with following your attendance at a match. You acknowledge that, for a small number of people, COVID-19 has very serious health consequences. By attending a match you (and any persons who attend the match with you) acknowledge and accept these obvious risks.
