Star midfielder Kiara Bowers has escaped suspension after being cited by the Match Review Officer for tripping during Fremantle's loss to Brisbane on Saturday at Fremantle Oval.

A first offense for tripping is a $400 sanction but Bowers can accept a reprimand with an early plea.

The incident involved Bowers tripping Brisbane's Jessica Wuetschner during the fourth quarter of the Round Five clash.

It is Bowers' second reprimand this season after being charged for rough conduct in round four.

The reprimand means Bowers is free to play in the opening game of Sunday's blockbuster RAC Derby double header.

Freo will take on West Coast in an AFLW round six clash at 1.40, followed by a men's AAMI Community Series clash at 4.10pm.
