Lively forward Liam Henry will play his third game for the season while defender Taylin Duman will return to the starting 22 when Fremantle take on Brisbane at the Gabba on Sunday afternoon.

The pair will come into Fremantle's line-up for injured duo Heath Chapman and Ethan Hughes who both sustained shoulder injuries in last weekend’s RAC Derby against West Coast.

Technically, Duman retains his place in the team after playing just over half a game as a medical sub in round seven.

Stefan Giro, Joel Western, Connor Blakely, Lloyd Meek have been named as Fremantle’s emergencies.

One of Giro, Western, Blakely or Meek will be announced as the medical sub one hour before bounce down.

Executive general manager of football Peter Bell told ABC Grandstand on Saturday morning that Freo's young group of defenders will be looking to stand up against dangerous Brisbane forwards Joe Daniher, Eric Hipwood and Charlie Cameron.

"It will be a big challenge for Tobe (Watson), Taylin (Duman), Griffin (Logue) and Brennan (Cox) taking on the Brisbane key forwards," Bell told ABC Grandstand.

"Tobe has been a really solid contributor in most of the games he has played and has been genuinely unlucky to be out of the team after some of his performances.

"He knows that he is probably going to get a good block of football here.

"(The Brisbane forwards) are very athletic and tall, so (our defenders) will have their hands full.

"We need to support those players as best as we possibly can and make sure the ball is going into the Brisbane forward line with a lot of pressure on them."

Bounce down for the clash is at 2:40pm WST.

The game will be broadcast live into Perth on 7mate and Fox Footy and can be streamed on Kayo.
