Fremantle defender Luke Ryan and forward Josh Treacy will be key inclusions for Freo’s round 10 clash with Sydney at Optus Stadium on Saturday night.

The pair come into Freo’s line-up to replace the injured Andy Brayshaw and the omitted Taylin Duman.

Duman joins Connor Blakely, Lloyd Meek and Reece Conca as Fremantle’s emergencies, with one of the four to be named as the medical sub an hour prior to bounce down.

Conca is technically an omission after being an unused medical sub in round nine against Essendon.

Senior coach Justin Longmuir confirmed Ryan’s inclusion in a media conference earlier on Thursday.

“Luke will come into the side, he got through training really well yesterday," Longmuir said.

"We'll welcome him back which should shore up our backline even more and we're looking forward to getting one of our leaders back into the team."

Sydney coach John Longmire flagged that forward Lance Franklin would travel to Perth for the clash, marking the first time Franklin has come up against Freo since round nine in 2018.

Ryan said he expects either Griffin Logue or Brennan Cox to match-up on Franklin.

“I think either Griff (Griffin Logue) or Coxy (Brennan Cox) will get him," Ryan told 6PR on Thursday morning.

"Both of them want to play on him which is good, so yeah I guess I will be sitting in the hole in front of him trying to help out my boys.”

Bounce down for the clash is at 5:40pm WST.

The game will be broadcast live into Perth on 7 Mate and Fox Sports 3 (channel 503). The game can also be streamed on Kayo.
