Four Fremantle players are in the mix for inclusion after coming into the extended squad for Sunday’s clash with Brisbane at Optus Stadium.

Key defender Alex Pearce is set to make his return from concussion and he is joined by Brett Bewley, Ethan Hughes and potential debutant Nathan O’Driscoll in the extended squad.

Bailey Banfield is the only omission at this stage, with the forward out for at least one week under the AFL’s concussion protocols.

Pearce trained well at the Club on Thursday with senior coach Justin Longmuir saying the defender would play if he proved his fitness.

“Alex is looking good to return,” Longmuir said

“He's got to get through full training but at this stage, he's ticked every box. Hopefully he comes up.”

The clash will be crucial for both sides, with Fremantle in eighth on 36 points and Brisbane in sixth on 48 points. A win for the Lions could see them return to the top four while a Freo win will ensure they remain in the top eight.

Tickets for the clash are on sale now through Ticketmaster.

The game will be broadcast live into Perth on Channel 7 and Fox Footy and can be streamed live on Kayo.
