The new recruit from St Kilda played limited football early in the season due to a hamstring injury sustained in the pre-season. When Acres broke into the side, he averaged 12.7 disposals between rounds six and eight before picking up a calf injury. While out of the side, the midfielder was able to build back to full fitness and it showed on the field, averaging 24 disposals from the final four games of the season to be one of Freo’s best in that time.
