Fremantle Football Club’s Purple Hands Foundation has partnered with Zero2Hero to deliver a mental health program specifically designed for secondary school students.
The 8-week program combines the key priorities of both stakeholders;
- To destigmatise mental health issues for young people and increase the level of mental health literacy across the community.
- To use sport to link physical activity and community connection for increased health and mental wellbeing.
- To connect with young people in a manner that is authentic and real, allowing young people to understand their needs and how to ask for help.
- This new partnership with the Purple Hands Foundation is a step towards developing mentally well and resilient young Western Australians.
