A strong element of the Fremantle Dockers connection in the community is through providing resources and support to community football, via coach education.

With two-time WAFL Premiership coach and AFLW & Community Coaching Director Cam Shepherd at the helm of our community coaching programs, the Club is able to provide coaching development resources across the State through in-person workshops and via our new Community Coaching Hub. The implementation of the Community Coaching Hub enables community coaches from across the State and beyond to access digital content, articles and live workshops that provide coaches with simple, but effective coaching resources presented by our AFL, AFLW and Community coaches.

Along with community coach engagement, the Club also provides WA Police cadets, recruits and front-line officers with the opportunity to achieve their AFL Foundation Level coaching accreditation in conjunction with the West Australian Football Commission, as an additional skillset to engage with the youth across WA as a State-wide strategy to build greater trust in the communities that we live, using the power of football and the power of partnerships to make a difference.

Building the skillsets of community coaches only enhances community football, to ensure more participants are gaining the skills and knowledge required to thrive, while community clubs benefit from strong participation across all age-groups and levels.

Like our football club, community coach development is our passion.
