Channel 7's Ryan Daniels was on the 'Plus 6' podcast to have a look at Fremantle from an AFL Fantasy perspective.

Below are his Fremantle players to watch, and you can listen to the full podcast here.

Heath Chapman
Heath Chapman is going to play. I don’t think I’ve seen Heath Chapman lose a contest since he got to Fremantle. You go to training and he stands out every time I go. This kid his arms a so long and he spoils everything and whatever he doesn’t spoil he marks, he is a freak. I think I said it last year when he made his debut, once he’s in he’s never coming out, and he only came out because he busted his shoulder. He is a first-choice player for a long time, I think he’s going to be one to really watch.

Nathan O'Driscoll
O’Driscoll missed all of last year with a heap of injuries, played a little bit of Peel. He’s a massive midfielder, like really big. No one’s going to replace Nat Fyfe but in terms of physicality, in terms of body shape and ceiling this kid could be really something. I would think if he can continue his pre-season and be healthy, he’s hired a personal trainer I believe in the short term, I would think he would be ahead of (draftees) Matthew Johnson and Neil Erasmus in terms of the early opportunities, just because he’s a year ahead from draft. They want to play some of those guys, and I know they thought they were lucky to get him when they got him, I think he was picked in the 20’s maybe, so I am quite bullish on him, I’ve got him on my watch list anyway. He’s still raw but there’s talent there, there’s serious talent and really good size.

Jordan Clark
It’s early and you hate hearing the burning up the track stories, but he has looked really good. I think Clark has a bit of an arrogant streak in a good way. I think he’s a really confident kid. He’s confident in his abilities and I think things are really going to click for him at Fremantle, I think that’s one of the more underrated steals in recent years in terms of trades. You’ve got to remember Geelong were falling over themselves when they had this kid 2-3 years ago. When you’re adding experienced players, you’re pushing these young guys out and Clark's probably the biggest one that they’re going to lose. I think he’s going to have a really great year for Fremantle, he’s exactly what they need, he’s really quick and he can play some wing as well. I think he’s going to be fantastic.

Sean Darcy
He looks magnificent. I was watching him (on Monday) and he’s easily in the best shape of his career. There’s a guy over here, a personal trainer that a lot of these local guys here have been using in the off-season. In their four to six weeks off they go to this bloke three or four times a week and they come out sculpted and Darcy was the first one to do it. He started doing it two or three years ago and now they’re all there. Even the guys form Melbourne and the Bulldogs that were over and stayed over from the Grand Final were all going too. He’s like a sculptor of bodies and that’s where Darcy’s breakout came from, he even said in in (Doig Medal winning) speech. It’s a really good sign that he cares that much about getting in shape, his ceiling is massive. Brodie Grundy and Max Gawn are probably still one and two in terms of fantasy ruckman, but I reckon Darcy is going to push them this year. Within two to three years it’s not going to be a competition, he’ll just be the number one guy, he’s looking fantastic, better than I’ve seen him at this time of year.

Caleb Serong
I was massive on Caleb Serong last pre-season, I talked him up every single place. I think I did it on this podcast and his start was really slow and I was really surprised by that. By the time he clicked into gear he exploded and that’s what I think he is. This guy is already a leader at this Club, he’s already shown that he’s an elite ball-winner, he’s hard as nails, he’s got that Joel Selwood thing where he just starts the game with strapping around his head, he’s a warrior. I think he’s just going to be a fantastic midfielder for the next 15 years, I would be putting a lot of stock into Caleb Serong from a fantasy perspective and from what he can possibly achieve in his career. He’s just an absolute find for the Fremantle Dockers and him and Andy Brayshaw together are going to be their one-two punch for a long time.

Michael Walters
'Sonny' Walters is back already training with the young guys, he does that every year, but he looks fitter than he did this time last year. He looks in ripping shape and he needs a big year, it’s his last year of contract so he’s going to have to fire. If you’re talking about draft fantasy you’re probably getting Michael Walters really cheap, so you might be able to take a flyer on him really late as your last forward.
