Six Fremantle names feature in the latest AFLCA Coaches' Votes after Saturday’s thrilling three-point victory over Geelong at GMHBA Stadium.

It’s the first game of the season that Fremantle midfielder Andy Brayshaw hasn’t polled a vote, sliding to third place on the overall leaderboard behind Carlton’s Patrick Cripps and Melbourne’s Clayton Oliver.

Winger Blake Acres polled highest for Freo with nine votes, splitting best afield honours with Geelong’s Tom Stewart, who also received nine votes.

Acres was responsible for plenty of Fremantle’s drive into attack, leading his side for metres gained (675m) and inside 50s (eight).

He also collected 27 disposals to go along with six marks, four tackles and 109 AFL Fantasy points.

Caleb Serong and Griffin Logue shared three votes each after their impact through the midfield and backline respectively.

Serong had 25 disposals and a game-high 27 pressure acts against the Cats, while Logue executed his shutdown role on Jeremy Cameron to perfection keeping the Geelong forward goalless while also having 13 disposals, five spoils and four rebound 50s.

Rory Lobb’s two-goal and 15 disposal was enough to see the big man earn two votes, with the forward/ruck one of only two players to play 100 per cent game time for the match (the other being Geelong’s Sam De Koning).

Rebound defender Jordan Clark and experienced midfielder David Mundy rounded out the votes with one apiece.

Clark provided impressive dash off half-back against his old side with 24 disposals, six intercepts, five clearances and 424 metres gained for the match.

Mundy was influential for Fremantle, leading the team with 11 contested possessions and seven clearances, while standing up in the final stoppage of the game as Geelong threatened to steal the result late in the piece.
