Fremantle have confirmed the grading of Blake Acres’ hamstring injury, which was sustained during Freo’s clash against Hawthorn on Saturday at Optus Stadium.

The midfielder was one of Fremantle’s best in their 13-point win, earning three coaches’ votes for his 25 disposal and one goal performance before coming off in the final term with the injury.

Executive General Manager of Football Peter Bell said Acres had avoided a serious injury.

“Blake has a moderate grade hamstring injury and the Strength and Conditioning team will guide Blake through his reconditioning as his hamstring allows us to,” Bell said.

“It’s obviously disappointing for Blake, who played some great football this season, and he’s motivated to work hard throughout the break to ensure he can return as soon as possible.”
