Fremantle can confirm that the initial ticket allocation for Saturday’s RAC Derby is nearing exhaustion, with the Club anticipating that tickets will soon only be available via resale through Ticketmaster.

With the game being celebrated as David Mundy’s farewell match, and Fremantle battling for a top four place, demand for tickets is unprecedented for a Fremantle home game at Optus Stadium.

Fremantle encourages all members who cannot attend the game to put their tickets up for resale. If their tickets are then purchased by another patron, they will receive a credit towards their 2023 membership account.

Fremantle CEO Simon Garlick said the Club wanted as many fans to attend the game as possible.

“We are thrilled that so many people are looking to attend this Saturday’s RAC Derby in what is such an important fixture for the Club,” Garlick said.

“It’s safe to say that we will never see another player like David Mundy, and as such we would love members who cannot attend to put their tickets up for resale so as many people as possible can bid farewell to a Champion.

“With the Club set for a return to finals, it will also be incredibly beneficial for the group to play in front of a capacity crowd in what is a high stakes clash against our local rivals.

“As the Ticketmaster resale facility allows members to get a credit to their membership account for games they cannot attend, it is a win-win for both the Club and our supporters.”
