Fremantle have confirmed two changes to their AFLW playing list for the 2024 NAB AFLW season on Thursday.

Key forward Sarah Wielstra and ruck Emmelie Fiedler were advised they will not be offered contracts for next year.

Wielstra arrived at Fremantle at the beginning of 2022 and played 13 games across her three seasons with the Club.

Fiedler was brought into the Club at pick 7 in the AFLW Supplementary Draft, held in April earlier this year.

AFLW Football Operations Manager Darryn Fry thanked both Wielstra and Fiedler for their time at the Club.

“These are tough conversations to have when you’re dealing with quality people who have put in a lot of hard work for the Club,” Fry said.

“Sarah has been on our list for three seasons and Em came through the Supplementary Draft this year.

“We want to thank them for their contribution to Fremantle throughout their journeys and we wish them both well for the future.”
