Twelve Fremantle-listed players were in action for Peel Thunder as the side suffered a 40-point loss to the Perth Demons in Round 7 of the WAFL.
James Aish: Was Peel’s best on the weekend, continuing his strong form in the WAFL to lead the Thunder in disposals (28) and marks (eight). Under siege in defence, Aish worked tirelessly with his younger teammates to withstand Perth’s 45 inside 50s.
Nathan O’Driscoll: Returned strongly after resting his ankle injury over the WAFL bye week, recording a team-high seven tackles along with 13 disposals from managed minutes.
Will Brodie: Notched up 20 disposals and was Peel’s only multiple goal-kicker (two) on the day.
Liam Reidy: Was strong in the ruck again with 48 hit-outs - 17 more than Perth’s total for the day - but struggled to connect with his midfield unit as the Demons made the most of their clearance work.
Josh Draper: Had nine disposals for the day and some solid moments in defence when challenged.
Oscar McDonald: Continued to work on his craft after transitioning to the forward line and kicked a goal in Peel’s low-scoring affair.
Hugh Davies: Once again impressed defensively, holding his opponent goalless for the day. Finished with 11 disposals, one mark, and one tackle.
Jack Delean: Solid again playing on the wing and continues to develop his game, finishing with 15 disposals, three inside 50s, and a goal.
Ollie Murphy: Had a tougher day in defence when under siege, with Perth registering eight more inside 50s for the day. Finished with eight disposals and three marks.
Charlie Nicholls: In testing conditions as a tall forward, Nicholls struggled to find flow in his game, managing just six disposals, three marks, and a single behind for the match.
Aiden Riddle: Continues his development as a ruck and forward, chopping out for Reidy at times with eight hit-outs and nine disposals, but was unable to impact the scoreboard on a tough day for the forwards.
Jaren Carr: Returned to Peel’s League side after a run in the Reserves and showed a bit on a difficult day, collecting 14 disposals, three marks, and two tackles on the wing.
