Scans have confirmed an adductor strain for Fremantle midfielder Hayden Young following an incident in the first quarter of yesterday’s win over Carlton at Optus Stadium.

The 24-year-old was subbed out of the game at quarter time after leaving the field midway through the opening term.

Young will miss Saturday night’s Round 22 fixture against Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval.

The Club will provide a timeline for Young’s return to play in the coming days, as he completes the initial phase of recovery.
